KUNA RURAL FIRE DISTRICT RIDE ALONG EXPECTATIONS
We look forward to having you join us for a Ride Along with the Kuna Rural Fire District.
1. You must be at least 18 years of age. Ride-alongs are limited to twice a year. The Fire Chief must grant any exceptions.
2. Your basic role as a ride-along is to:
· Remain in or return to the Fire District vehicle when instructed to do so by the Company Officer.
· Comply with all directions given by a Company Officer.
· Do not operate equipment or Fire District vehicle unless you receive a Company Officer's permission.
· Be an observer. The Kuna Rural Fire District will not be liable for any unauthorized participation of a ride along participant.
3. It is important to project a professional image when responding on calls and interacting with the public. Please ensure that you are dressed in clean, well-fitting pants with no holes or graphics, a plain shirt, and closed-toed shoes.
4. The personal safety of the crew and the Fire District's responsibilities to the Fire District will be considered at all times. Therefore, a request may be denied in advance for any reason or a Company Officer may terminate your ride-along at any time, without explanation or advance notice. In addition, if emergency circumstances dictate, you may be dropped off at the safest location feasible in the field of operation without returning to the station.
HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
I, the undersigned, do hereby request the Kuna Rural Fire District for permission to ride, as an observer only, in the Fire District motor vehicle. I am aware of the potential and risks of coming into contact with bodily fluids during emergency medical calls and understand that it is my responsibility to ensure that I properly utilize personal protective equipment.
I further understand I will be a guest passenger in the vehicle in which I ride. I have not offered any payment to the Fire District or any of its employees for the opportunity to ride in a vehicle.
WHEREFORE, in consideration of the educational benefit to be received by me with the granting of this request, I hereby agree to hold the Kuna Rural Fire District, its Commissioners and its Chief, employees, agents and servants harmless from any and
